Valencia Drake McKinzie loves Jesus and her goal in all aspects of her life, is to be where He wants her to be, to do what He wants her to do and go where He wants her to go. In His service, she is the President and Founder of MySuite19, a Christian 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that offers help and hope to single mothers. This organization offers encouragement, prayer and spiritual enrichment to single mothers as well as assistance with gas, groceries, utilities and more. As an Entrepreneur, she is also on the Leadership Team for P31:31 LLC, a Christian Community Network whose membership spans the country and whose mission is to empower Female Entrepreneurs. She motivates, encourages and ministers to women all over the country on a weekly basis.

 

Valencia is also an Independent Gospel Recording Artist. She started singing in church at an early age and is still very committed to her church choir today. She has ministered in song at churches and events across the country where her glowing and generous vocal presence has been well received. She has a diverse musical background that includes performances in musicals such as Finian's Rainbow, South Pacific and as a background vocalist for Miss Piggy. Valencia loves singing for the Lord and has ministered to many through her heartfelt and spirit lead gift of song for which she gives God all the glory and all the praise.

 

Valencia’s first release entitled, FREE, is a magical fusion of gospel and jazz that radiates an easy listening vibe infiltrated with scripture. It uplifts, encourages and inspires. Valencia wrote all the songs and performs the lead and background vocals on this project. She has a new project coming soon titled, “HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS”.

 

Valencia is married to David McKinzie Jr., her husband of 25 plus year, and they have a son David III who she loves dearly.

 

Valencia has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Woman's University respectively. Her heart’s desire is to offer a hand up to the down trodden and tell those who are lost about a man named Jesus who can touch, heal, save and deliver anybody. She is humbled and grateful every time God uses her as vessel and she is careful to give Him the honor, the praise and the glory.
