IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

Hello, Victorious!

If you know me, then you know I truly enjoy a good success story. I love reading, watching, and listening to stories about how businesses or people became successful.

What brought about the idea?

How did the company grow? What is the backstory?

Most started with something seemingly insignificant—a seed of an idea that was eventually planted into action.

On September 5th, I planted some vegetable seeds into action. It was something I had wanted to do all summer, but the triple-digit temperatures in Texas were way beyond my gardening skills.

Now, as we enter the fall season, I'm seeing social media posts from more experienced gardeners excited about their harvest—a harvest that began with seeds planted in the spring.

And I thought: What if I had started then?

I could be enjoying the fruits of my labor right now!

Isn't that what we sometimes do? We look at someone else's accomplishments and wish we had the same results. While other gardeners were planting in the spring, I was holding those same seeds in my pantry—held back by doubt, excuses, and procrastination.

After finally planting the seeds, I labeled each one: Okra, spinach, lettuce, peppers, etc. And because I can be a little extra, I wrote goals on the back of each label as a metaphor:

Start budgeting better.

Start organizing the business better. Start the weight-loss journey, etc

As I watch my vegetables develop, I'm also watching my goals develop.

The seeds I planted are already beginning to produce something I can see. And the goals I've started through action are beginning to move from ideas in my mind to something I can actually see growing.

It may not all happen overnight, but something changes when you start.

For months I looked at the seeds. I looked at the pots. I looked at the soil. I had EVERYTHING I needed to START, and yet I did nothing. Guess what? I had nothing. Is that what you want? A pantry full of potential waiting to be put to use?

It's high time to get started.

Not tomorrow. Today!

There is a Greek word, Kairos, that speaks to an appointed or opportune time.

Could this be your Kairos moment to finally start?

I feel so compelled to convey to the PrayHers community to not miss this opportune time to finally get it started, so that you can finally finish it.

Someone is waiting for your book. Someone is waiting on your recipe. Someone is waiting on your apparel. Someone is waiting on your invention.

Someone is waiting on the thing you've been afraid to start.

Go ahead and plant the seed and name it! Give it time.Give it attention. Give it to God.

And one day, you'll sit down for your very own “Netflix documentary” and you will open with:  “It all started when…”

Until next time, I will be praying yours, and I hope you are praying mine.

See you at the finish line,

Prayer For Courage

Dear God,

I pray for the woman who You are calling to a higher place, not only in You, but in her next phase of life. I pray for the woman who is no longer fulfilled in her current position because she believes she is to launch out into entrepreneurship. I pray that she does not fear the unknown, knowing that You will guide and provide for her every step of the way. You have not given her the spirit of fear; therefore, I pray that she will resist the temptation to remain stagnant and comfortable. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
