There is Process In The Pile

Hey Finisher😀
Have you ever looked at your life and became discouraged because it doesn’t look like much has happened? If that is you be encouraged—you’ve come further than you realize.
Sometimes we’re so focused on where we want to be that we lose sight of how far we’ve already come. Look at the picture above. At first glance, it looks like an unfinished project—a pile of sheets waiting to be addressed. But look again! It's actually a part of the process.
Why?
Because the sheets were washed. Sometimes we look at what is NOT finished and convince ourselves that we aren't making progress.
We focus on the pile instead of the process.
The pile of sheets may not be folded, but washing them sure put them a step closer to the linen closet. Yes, honor eeevery step!
Honor the one box of clothes you got out of the closet
Honor the research on how to start an LLC
Honor the 2 pounds of weight loss
Honor the start.
Don't abandon the vision because the picture doesn't look finished yet. Give thanks for the small wins, because they count in the equation.
Hopefully that encouraged you to never shrink back, give up, or throw away your confidence. You are further along than you believe.
Until next time I will be praying yours and I hope you are praying mine.
See you at the finish line.

Your Project Manager
Project Finish It™Believe It. Build It. Finish It.

Recently, I did an inventory of my life. I looked back over the years and recounted some of the things I had done, and I was encouraged.
You will be surprised at what you will recall when you sit still and are intentional about remembering just how far you have come.
I realized that I had overlooked and undervalued many of the bricks I had laid throughout the years. Bricks that has been leading me on an unfolding journey.
Now, I challenge you to take 5 minutes to count how many steps you have taken —schedule it for later if you must, but do it— write down Every Little Step you can think of in that time, because they count.
Here are a few of mine:
Obtained Project Management Professional credential
Started a nonprofit
Daughter in college
Made it through a difficult season
No credit card debt
Built a home
Learned technology
Wrote a book
Steps that matter you may have not considered:
Getting a new job or advancing in your career
Walking away from something that wasn't good for you
Rebuilding a relationship
Learning to say “no” and setting healthy boundaries
Taking care of your physical, emotional, or spiritual well-being
Stepping out of your comfort zone
Simply not giving up when you had every reason to quit
Don't overlook the small victories. Taking one step forward is an accomplishment all by itself.
